The Aquos
Crystal from Sharp – so compact,
so bezel-less.
This is among the reaction
when I personally saw it on YouTube yesterday. As you can see, The
Aquos Crystal has the smallest footprint for a phone with a 5 inch screen - an
area that comes out only 87.8 square centimeters! This is awesome, a revolutionary
design with an artistic, yet stylish looking, I was really impressed with Sharp
coz they manage to came out with such a beautiful, one of a kind smartphone and
thennnnn, comes the specs, folks, to be honest I’m pretty sad, the specs is little less impressive that you might think.
It’s got a 5 inch 720p
display (unimpressive), an 8 Megapixel main camera with LED flash
(unimpressive), a 1.2 Megapixel front facing camera (Not too bad), 8GB internal
storage with microsd expansion (Only 8GB? What?!), running a 1.2Ghz Quadcore
Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset with 1.5GB of RAM (Yadaa yadaa) and last but not
least, a 2,040 mAh battery.
But honestly, no
matter what’s under the hood, that expansive screen is still likely to attract
a fair amount of attention. So far there is no news from Sharp whether this
phone going to be available here in Malaysia and if it’s available here, I hope
the price tag should be competitive with other mid-range smartphone.
