News: MIUI V6 OS

On last 16 August, Smartphone manufacture from China, Xiaomi, has launched their latest Operating System based on Android which is the MIUI V6. This new version of MIUI brings some new feature such as more colourful interface, minimalist design, and an upgrade of new phone security.

The main differences and complete overhaul between the MIUI V5 (Current OS) and the MIUI V6 is mostly on the icon side. This time around, Xiaomi had made a major changes and added a new flat design for all of its icons. They also put a really serious effort to add more unique animation transition that looks pretty nice but (sorry to say) does looks alike like an OS that can be found on most Apple devices.

MIUI V6 has also added new gestures feature for the homescreen along with a redesigned notification shade with toggles for various settings. The notification center shows notifications on the lockscreen and there's themes support for the UI with more than 5,000 available as of now.

For now, MIUI V6 only available for Beta Tester. Xiaomi promised that the Mi4 and Mi3 user will get an update for their new OS in early October. They also said that other Xiaomi product such as the Redmi 1s and Redmi Note will also get this update later, but there is no confirmation about the date just yet.
